We encourage all women from adolescence to elderhood to come in annually for health promotional check ups. Dr. Motyka will discuss with you what preventative services you might benefit from.  She can help you keep up to date on any screening tests you might need


Currently Dr. Motyka has admitting  and surgical privileges at WakeMed (on New Bern Ave just off the Beltline) in Raleigh and WakeMed North in Wake Forest. Some of the procedures she does frequently include:

  • Hysteroscopy with or without ablation

  • Laparoscopic hysterectomy

  • Tubal ligation

  • Laparoscopy with endometriosis and pelvic pain

  • LEEP

  • Myomectomy


Dr. Motyka has special expertise in the use and insertion of bioidentical hormone pellets.  These are a useful approach to menopausal symptoms and low libido. Please make an appointment if you would like to see if pellets are right for you


Dr.Motyka has been offering  medical, surgical, and hormone replacement care for the trans community since 2003. Her primary focus is on FTM trans men but she also cares for MTF trans women who have already undergone a full surgical transition 


Wellbeing involves healthy sleep, good nutrition, good exercise habits, avoidance of toxins, allergens, and harmful substances.  Emotional  and spiritual health and following your heart in your daily activities and relationships is also a cornerstone to vitality. Dr. Motyka will discuss with you strategies to promote wellbeing


Dr. Motyka is a Wellness Advocate for Doterra essential oils. She will be happy to discuss with you the potential uses for improving sleep, anxiety, PMS symptoms, and other conditions.

Dr. Motyka is also happy to use herbal, and nutritional supplements as alternatives to pharmaceutical agents when the option is available

When research is available, we use evidence based medicine. Using effective, scientifically validated approaches combined with patient preferences and clinical expertise  helps to improve care and, ultimately, patient outcomes


 We are now offering telehealth visits for patients who cannot make it into the office. Appointment types that are best suited to telehealth visits include visits not requiring a physical or pelvic exam.  Additionally, If it has been >1 year since your last visit and you need medication refills and you prefer to delay your annual and are not due for blood work or screenings,  a telehealth visit is an option.  If you have questions, our front office staff can help you determine if this is a good option for you.

To schedule a telehealth visit you will need

  1. A computer with audio/video capability or a smart phone

  2. An insurance plan that covers telehealth ( most do) or we offer discounted cash pricing

  3. A credit card for paying any copays or coinsurance

  4. An email address- we will send you an invite for your scheduled telehealth appointment where you will find the link for the visit  time. Follow the link to take you to your appt check-in.
